How do I clock in and out on the store kiosk?
Audience: Employees · Feature: Kiosk time clock · Updated September 30, 2026
Your store's Storeboard screen (the kiosk by the register) has a time clock card on it. That's where you start and end your shift. This page walks through each step and answers the questions we hear most.
How to clock in
- Find the time clock card on the store's Storeboard screen.
- Tap your name.
- Enter your PIN. Your manager or the store owner gives you this. Most stores use four digits, but yours may use up to six, and the screen shows one dot for each digit it expects.
- Confirm to clock in. The card showing who's on right now will list your name.
How to clock out
- Tap your name on the time clock card.
- Choose to clock out and confirm.
- Check that your name has dropped off the list of who's on right now.
How to check your hours
- Open your own Storeboard page on your phone (you'll need a personal login; ask your manager if you don't have one).
- Tap Timesheets in the bar at the bottom.
- Pay period shows your hours for the period the store pays on, next to what you were scheduled for. Day shows the punches for one day: when you clocked in and when you clocked out.
Common questions
It asked if I'm sure when I clocked in. Did I do something wrong?
No. If you clock in earlier than your store allows before a shift (15 minutes, unless the owner has changed it), the clock checks that you meant to. If you did, go ahead.
I forgot to clock out. What happens?
Tell your manager as soon as you notice. They can fix the time on the timesheet. If nobody does, the system closes out anyone still clocked in after 14 hours and flags it so a manager can see it needs fixing.
I entered the wrong PIN a few times and now it won't let me try.
The clock limits how many tries it takes for each person in a minute. Wait a minute and try again, or ask your manager to check or reset your PIN.
Can I clock in from my phone?
Only if your store has turned that on. It's off unless the owner switches it on, because a shared screen in the store isn't the same as a phone that could punch in from anywhere. When it is on, the clock-in button is on Home in your own app.
I tapped a coworker's name by mistake.
Nothing happens without their PIN, so just back out and tap your own name.
My clock-in time is wrong on my hours.
Let your manager know. They can add a note, match it to the schedule, or type in the right time, and every change they make is kept on record.
Where do I get my PIN?
From your manager or the store owner. Don't share it. It's how the store knows the punch was yours.
Still stuck? Ask your manager.
